Welcome to my world of radiant hues & unique designs. I'm Sarah, the owner and artist behind The Garage On Leonard, based in Springfield, IL.

I started exploring the world of stained glass in 2021 and quickly fell in love with the art. In 2022, I decided to create a business out of it and began selling at pop-up markets. Since then, I have expanded, and you can now find my pieces at Perspective Art Gallery and SAA Collective Gallery. I enjoy creating original stained glass pieces inspired by nature, dreamy thoughts, and functionality. From vibrant sun catchers to beautiful propagation stations and plant stakes, my art is diverse and can be tailored to suit your aesthetic, as custom pieces are always an option.

I have a playfulness about me that shows through my work, and that is why I love what I do so much. ​As an artist, I am privileged to embrace playfulness in every design. My favorite aspect of my work is when the glass comes alive, dancing in the sunlight, offering a dynamic interplay that transforms my work into two separate pieces of art: the piece itself and its refraction. 

All of our creations are original art, first starting out as a hand-drawn sketch and then hand-cutting the glass. The glass used in our work is quality glass such as; Kokomo Glass, Uroboros Glass, Armstrong, Youghiogheny Glass, Fremont Antique Glass, Spectrum Glass, Wissmach, Oceanside, & Bullseye Glass Co. All items contain lead unless specified. The solder used is 60% tin and 40% lead. Please keep items away from small children and handle them with care.
